Classification

Scotch is a high yielding soft wheat with final ASFT classification in NSW and QLD.

The initial cross for Scotch was made between a high yielding breeding line and LRPB Impala in 2014 as part of the dedicated LongReach Plant Breeders Soft Wheat breeding program in partnership with Allied Mills and Arnott’s.

Mid variety very similar to QAL2000 in maturity that is well adapted to irrigated production with compact canopy and good straw strength. Excellent disease package with market leading powdery mildew resistance.
